CAREER TRANSITION COACHING

CAREER TRANSITION COACHING

Live your life exactly the way you want

Doing the work you love

You’re an established professional with significant achievements in your career already. You’ve spent much of the past checking off the ‘right’ boxes with qualifications, promotions and titles. From the outside it looks great, but lately you’re feeling more frazzled than fulfilled and it’s slowly chipping away at your soul each day.

It’s not that you want to throw it all out of the window, but there’s got to be something more. Deep down you know there’s got to be a better way. You’ve been trying to figure it out by yourself but instead of going forwards, you’re going round in circles and it’s hard to talk openly to others without feeling judged.

You’re longing for work that feels more meaningful, more impactful and taps into your full potential. Something different. You might have some idea of what next, but it all feels a little overwhelming to think it could happen or know where to begin.

Life circumstances are also weighing into your decision. You want a better sense of harmony between your personal and professional life, instead of short changing one or the other. As much as you want to move forwards, there are fears and doubts that keep surfacing.

I know what it feels like, having made some bold changes in my own career.

I understand the fear that comes up when we want to make a big change and the outcome is unknown. The fear of making the wrong choice, the fear of judgement from others, the fear of losing what you already have.

It’s normal to feel this way.

Here’s what I know:

Uncertainty of the future world will always be a given, but insecurity about it doesn’t have to be. Shifting your relationship with uncertainty will set you up to succeed no matter which path you take.

Having a clear sense of who you are, also makes it easier to adapt and pivot along that path without losing sight of what’s important to you.

Creating a life and work that’s fulfilling and purposeful is possible, no matter what that next level might look like for you.

Woman Thinking

Not your usual career search…

This isn’t the usual career search where we look at your interests, skills and experience and rearrange them to create a resume or CV for your next position. We go deeper than that.

Your career, while a part of your life, is not apart from your life and so we focus on who you are as a whole person to see how work can be in sync with the other parts of your life.

Without this approach you’ll find yourself creating yet another plan that will get you the external success, but still missing the internal fulfilment and harmony you crave.

A 4-part framework to create the life and work you want:

1. CLARITY

  • Clear sense of who you are. Your values, your strengths and what drives you. Your unique gifts and talents.
  • Clear articulation of what you want to move towards. Your vision. Your definition of success.
  • Clear understanding of how your mindset, habits and behaviors works for or against you. Awareness of your demotivators and tools to address this.

2. CREATIVITY

  • We’ll explore different career paths and design different ways to incorporate your values and your strengths into your vision.
  • Prototype and experiment with your career ideas before making a concrete decision.

3. COURAGE

  • Strengthen your inner guidance system. Marry your analytical brain with trusting your intuition.
  • Cultivate your own set of tools and practices to help you to move forward when doubts and fearful thinking crop up.
  • Strengthen your ability to rumble with uncertainty to confidently navigate and thrive in unchartered territories.

4. CONSISTENCY

  • Map out your action plan for the next 6-12 months to help you hit the ground running.
  • Create your own personal accountability, habits and support structures to set yourself up for success.

If you’re ready to step up to create the life and work you really want, here’s how to get started.

Schedule a complimentary, no obligation consultation call with me.

The consultation call gives you an opportunity to share your goals with me. It also gives both of us the chance to see if working together would be a good fit for one another.

If we decide to work together, I’ll share the exact steps for getting started. If you decide not to work with me or if we aren’t a perfect fit, I’m happy to share other resources to help you get what you need.

Who is a good fit for this?

This will be a good fit for you if you’re ready to let go of limitations and open to seeing more possibilities for yourself.

My coaching provides you a neutral, judgement-free space to get deeper insight. I will challenge you, reveal where you are unknowingly sabotaging yourself and point out the blindspots that are keeping you stuck in unhelpful thought patterns. I’ll also help you see the innate wisdom that will propel you forwards.

It may not be a good fit if you’re not ready to do some self-reflection or be open to exploring new ways of seeing and doing things.

Testimonials

I came to Pauline at a time in my career when I had lost sight of who I was and what I wanted professionally and was unsure of my desired career trajectory. I faced profound challenges in my professional and personal life and needed some assistance in sorting through the noise.

As a result of her time, expertise, ideas, resources, and support, I was able to do just that. Pauline helped to unearth my underlying paradigms and behavior drivers to clear the path for assessment and decision making. In a gentle and supportive way, she was relentless in ensuring that I was honest with myself and that I really heard and accepted what I was saying, thinking, and doing. We then discussed what to do about those truths in manageable steps to ensure progress without feeling overwhelmed. Finally, Pauline helped me stay committed to acknowledging and embracing that progress when the inevitable internal and external resistance to change emerged. I still hear echoes of what Pauline might ask or say and feel her support when I face a challenge.

One of Pauline’s many strengths as an executive coach is that she sees and addresses the whole person. Rather than only focusing on professional success, Pauline acknowledges the human being first and foremost. She doesn’t shy away from the core, but often difficult conversations, that can plague us and influence our actions and choices in every facet of life. She is fantastic in helping to distill daunting content into clear, unadulterated truths – never with judgment and always with grace. This approach, coupled with her notable business and coaching acumen, translates to working from a place of authenticity and radical honesty – the only place where real and lasting change and success can manifest.

I am so grateful to know Pauline and to have had the chance to work with her. She is someone that I always want to know, who inspires me, who is dedicated to sharing her talents for the betterment of others, and who has helped me tremendously. Pauline doesn’t just show up to support you as an executive coach. She truly takes the journey with you and cares about you and your success as if it were her own. That is an invaluable gift. Whether you are trying to gain self-awareness, establish or clarify goals, or take your career to the next level, I highly, highly recommend working with Pauline Cheung. She is one in a million.
